Football in Berkshire is looking to create a group of volunteer football reporters this season covering different patches in the county.
We’ll also be encouraging clubs to submit their own content, but from Hungerford to Burnham, Mortimer to Bracknell and everywhere in between we’d love to hear from you.
If you are interested in taking a lead or covering a specific patch, the suggested content level piece is one piece per week on your chosen area. These can be long form, short news stories, interviews or even video content. Not everything need be a 1,000+ words, and we can help you with contacts.
But if you’ve ever dreamed of covering a club in depth, then this is a great place to start.

– Ascot & Surrey (incl Virginia Water and Berks County) reporter
– Bracknell Forest (Bracknell, Binfield, Sandhurst) reporter
– Maidenhead & Holyport reporter
– Reading reporter
– Slough & Windsor (incl Burnham) reporter
– West Berkshire reporter
– Wokingham & Woodley reporter
BEYOND BORDERS
These are the areas that are technically outside our remit, but we’re quite happy to include:
– Old West Berkshire (Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Wantage) reporter
– North Hampshire reporter (Fleet Town, Basingstoke, Aldershot, Farnborough)
– South Bucks reporter (Marlow?)
LEADS
These are specific areas for focus – eg women’s football lead would create women’s football specific content using own ideas and what has been sourced by patch reporter
– Podcast lead (fortnightly episodes)
– Women’s game lead
– Team of the Month (men’s and women’s) lead
– Newsletter lead (1 newsletter per week)
