Centre back Gary Smith will be back at Hill Farm Lane for 2017/18, Binfield have confirmed.

Smith joined midway through the 16/17 campaign from Ascot United, making his debut in the 1-1 draw at Brimscombe & Thrupp in December and went on to feature in 11 league games for Binfield.

Described as a ‘proper defender’ by the Moles twitter account, the former Henley Town and Bracknell Town defender picked up the clubs December player of the month award.

Binfield boss Roger Herridge has also confirmed the commitment of Grant Kemp, Sean Moore, Ali Dickie and Jamie McCarthy from the 16/17 squad.

Kemp was a signing from Henley Town at the start of last season and made 17 league appearances for Binfield while Moore made 21.
