Binfield midfielder Harrison Bayley has confirmed his move from the Moles to Hellenic Premier Division rivals Thatcham Town.
The switch alludes to a concerted title challenge for the Kingfishers who finished fourth in 2016/17 behind Thame United, Bracknell Town and Flackwell Heath and will be looking to take up one of the two possible promotion places that could be available at the end of the season.
There have reportedly been several departures from Waterside Park over the summer including Callum Willmoth and Gareth Thomas who have joined Vanarama National League South side Hungerford Town according to the Crusaders website.
Bayley joined Binfield in February 2017 from Highmoor-IBIS and was voted the clubs player of the month at the first attempt making nine league appearances.

On joining Binfield, Moles boss Roger Herridge described the midfielder as ‘one of the best in the league’ and said: “He’s going to be a real bonus for us and the chance to sign him came out of the blue.
“When players of this quality become available I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t throw our hat into the ring.”
On Tuesday, Bracknell Town confirmed the signature of Binfield striker Liam Ferdinand while Binfield have been busy re-signing much of the 16/17 squad and signing goalkeeper Sam Gray.
