Not a bad start to a club career for Binfield midfielder Harrison Bayley after he was named the Moles player of the month for February.

Bayley played in five of the Moles six fixtures during the month – only missing the County Cup semi-final trip to Newport Pagnell Town – and scored his first goal for the club in the 2-1 Reading Senior Cup win over Holyport.

The former Highmoor-IBIS captain joined at the start of February with manager Roger Herridge describing him as one of the best midfielders in the league.

Herridge said at the time: “He’s going to be a real bonus for us and the chance to sign him came out of the blue.

“When players of this quality become available I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t throw our hat into the ring.”
