Vanarama National League Maidenhead United are in line for a multi-million pound boost after the transfer of Max Kilman to West Ham United.
The fee Wolverhampton Wanderers will receive for their captain is reportedly £40 million according to national news sources.
Kilman made his York Road debut and first senior appearance in 2017/18 in an opening-day draw at Maidstone United. He went on to make 39 appearances in black and white before making the move to Wolves. Aged 21, Kilman signed to the newly-promoted Premier League club for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2018 – reported to be around £40,000.
Max Kilman: The hassle-free defender who could make Maidenhead United millions
So where do Maidenhead feature in the Wolves to West Ham transfer?
It is widely understood Maidenhead have a sell on clause for Kilman which, depending on who you ask could be 10-20%.
Last summer Kilman was subject of a £35 million interest from Serie A champions Napoli, now at £40 million, the Magpies could – in a best case scenario – be in line for an £8 million boost.
Quite a handy sum when you’ve just been granted planning permission at your ground.
