On Saturday in the Combined Counties Division One, Sandhurst Town entertain promotion candidates Frimley Green at Bottom Meadow.
Frimley sit second in the league with only goal difference separating them and Bedfont & Feltham in top spot and have taken a massive 37 points from their last 14 league games.
The Fizzers will need to be in top form to get a result however, they can point to a strong home record that has seen them lose just once in the league since the end of September, during which time they have recorded wins against Bedfont & Feltham and 3rd placed Sheerwater.
Sheerwater is the destination for Eversley & California this weekend, as they look to pick up points in their battle against relegation. The Boars recorded their first win under manager Matt Angel in midweek, beating Fleet Spurs 3-0 in a relegation 6-pointer at the ESA Ground.
Sheerwater will be a very different prospect as they are the league’s form side with 16 points in their last 6 games and are only a point off the top of the table. Any result would be a great achievement for Eversley as they bid to move away from the drop zone.
In the Hellenic Division One East AFC Aldermaston will look to make it 7 wins on the bounce when they welcome Wallingford Town to the Rec Soc. The match will see a battle between two of the leagues in form goal scorers as Wally’s Charlie Silkstone, who is top of the league’s scoring charts, has 32 goals in 33 games in all competitions, and the Atomics Sid Gbla has 10 goals in his last 3 games.
Aldermaston need a win to keep the pressure on Burnham at the top of the table where as Wallingford need to win to keep any hopes of promotion alive, so all the elements are in place for an entertaining game.
Also in the Hellenic Division One East, Woodley United host Chalvey Sports at Scours Lane. The two sides have met twice already this season, once in the league and once in the Supplementary Cup, with the Kestrels coming out on top on both occasions.
Chalvey have been in good form of late, picking up 10 points in their last 5 games with their only defeat in that run coming by the way of a narrow 1-0 reverse at home to Holyport last weekend. A win for Woodley would see them move to 10th in the table and would guarantee they are safe from relegation this season.

In the Reading Senior Cup Wokingham & Emmbrook face Burghfield of the Thames Valley Premier League. The game was due to be played at Burghfield but has been switched to Larges Lane after being postponed a number of times due to weather.
Burghfield were formed in 1989 and are playing their first season in the TVPL following promotion from Division One last season. For the Sumas the Reading Senior Cup is their only chance of silverware this season and as they only have three league games left to play this season, they are well placed to be able to mount a challenge in this competition. The winners will face an away match at Wallingford Town in the quarter finals.
