Non-League Day fixtures – and what you can expect in Berkshire

Non-League Day weekend is here and with it comes a host of treats and brilliant football narratives across the county with relegation, play-offs and titles very much to be decided.

Whether it’s the confusing promotion requirements of the Thames Valley Premier League or the straight up play-offs of the Enterprise National League, there are limited edition badges, charity burgers – and a bit of football to be consumed on Non-League Day 2026.

All kick-offs are 3pm unless otherwise stated on Saturday 28th March 2026.

Berks County vs Rising Ballers Kensington

The Swords are after a play-off place in Combined Counties League Division One while Ballers are figthing for their status at the bottom of the league. County are offering free commemorative badges for their remaining home games (while stocks last) created by WO Lewis – badgemakers to Royal Ascot.

Burghfield vs AFC Winkfield

Burghfield have punched above their weight in recent seasons with a strong, technical side. They won the County Cup two season’s ago and have four games in hand on the sides above them meaning they could still finish in the top 3. Burghfield Recreation Ground is basic, but the club have recently opened a small tea bar, and the Samosas at the NISA on the corner are worth the visit alone.

Eversley & California vs Horley Town

The Boars are doing all they can to survive a first season at Step 5 after promotion via the play-offs last year. They have games in hand but visitors Horley Town have designs on the play-offs. It’s a tidy setup at Fox Lane and staying up could mean sending more established and resourced non-league sides like Camberley Town, Guildford City or Epsom & Ewell down to Step 6.

Maidenhead Town vs Wargrave

The race is on for promotion and Maidenhead Town can edge a little closer to it – but Wargrave have an outside chance of the title in the Thames Valley Premier League. Promotion rules for Step 7 mean that you need to apply before Christmas if you want to be ‘in the mix’ to go up. Only Maidenhead and Newbury Town (five points behind) did. So while Westwood Wanderers and Wargrave fight for the title, Maidenhead and Newbury fight for promotion.

Does it make sense? No. Will it be a good game? Trust me, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Maidenhead United vs Weston-super-Mare

The Magpies are in the play-off places but it’s by no means a foregone conclusion Ryan Peters side will make the end-of-season bun fight. WSM want in on that action and are two points behind. Maidenhead are offering ‘Football for a Fiver’ on Non-League Day and Kids for a Quid. We recommend tickets are bought in advance as it’s going to be a busy one.

Reading City vs Amersham Town

Combined Counties League Premier Division North clash. Reading City can very much make the play-offs and will be clear favourites at home to Amersham Town who are in the bottom two and staring at relegation. The Cityzens offering is well known round these parts, go for the Parka, stay for the Chinese Selection Box (although ordering ahead is wise).

Virginia Water vs Kidlington

Combined Counties League Premier Division North clash. Neither side are likely to make the play-offs but Virginia Waters turnaround after a difficult start to the season is to be admired.

Windsor & Eton vs Ashford Town (Middlesex)

Top of the table clash in the Combined Counties League Premier Division North. The Royalists are also launching their first charity burger with £1 from each sale going to Windsor Baby Bank. April’s special will be a bacon/lettuce/cheese burger in a brioche bun with a delicious homemade tomato relish.
