Eloise Berry-Hargreaves is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Supporter of the Season sponsored by Supporters Trust at Reading.
The young Hungerford Town is a regular home and away supporter of the Crusaders.
One nomination for the award said: “Eloise follows Hungerford Town both home and away and despite only being 16 years old has hardly missed a game this season. She is a massive fan of the whole club, although maybe her brother Matt not so much. It’s not cool to support teams like Hungerford at her age, as it’s not known as a big club either but she is a massive fan despite pressure from her peers at times. She is always congratulating the players and staff on the victories and even stays positive of the team lose which is brilliant for a young football fan like her. She always watches with pride and even in a busy Saturday schedule with her playing football in the morning she still manages to come.”
Another added: “Eloise is a young supporter, 16 years of age who has followed Hungerford Town home and away missing only a handful of games this season despite her also playing football on a Saturday morning. She still turns up and supports the team. She has a positive attitude towards the club and players, always being happy and cheering them. Being a young female supporter it isn’t cool to support a local club like Hungerford yet she doesn’t let that get in front of her and is keen to learn from the players too, although she may laugh at her brothers advice (Matt Berry-Hargreaves) who plays for the club.”
