Thames Valley Premier League side Mortimer have launched a crowdfunder following a break-in at the club’s facility.
The village side in West Berkshire has a clubhouse at the Alfred Palmer Memorial Field, surrounded by a security fence and recently installed bi-fold doors to improve the venue.
A statement released by the club said: “Our clubhouse was broken into during the early hours of Sunday 12th July, causing significant and expensive damage to the newly fitted bi-fold windows Please help our club continue to be in local history for many years to come. We shouldn’t let some awful people ruin such a long-standing piece of history in our community.
“The funds will be used to repair any damages made and to help improve the club and security measures.”

Actually it was set up off his own bat by one of our U15 players, who wanted to do something to help.
It’s now up to £565 and still growing, which will enable us to replace the glass and install better security to prevent it happening against.
