Haydon Vaughan – the young Bracknell Town star and Berkshire Football Award nominee – has been rewarded for a superb season with a switch to Aldershot Town.

The Vanarama National League side confirmed the news on Twitter saying: “We’re delighted to confirm the signing of exciting young talent Haydon Vaughan!”

Just 18, Vaughan impressed for Sandhurst Town at the start of the season before moving up to Bracknell with boss Jordan Ive. The Robins would go on to secure a Southern League Premier Division South play-off place on the final day of the season.

Aldershot first team manager Tommy Widdrington said on the club’s website: “It again shows we are looking at all levels of the game, near and far, to add to what we feel is a really good core group.

“We of course hope he fulfils the undoubted potential he’s shown so far at both Sandhurst and Bracknell; he’s local lad who has a great opportunity to kick on in an environment we feel is a good fit for him.”
