Finchampstead and Richings Park face off on Friday evening at Reading FC’s Select Car Leasing Stadium for the final of the Berkshire Trophy Centre Cup Final.

Finch will head into the fixture high on confidence having retained their Thames Valley Premier League title, pushing Burghfield into second place.

The Berkshire club have had an impressive route to the final scoring twenty goals in their four cup games including a 10-0 demolition of FC Imaan Lions in Round 2. Finchampstead were also able to gain revenge over SB Phoenix in the semi-finals of this competition when they defeated the Thames Valley Division One club by two goals to one at Rivermoor. SB Phoenix had knocked Finchampstead out of the Berks & Bucks Charles Twelvtree Trophy at the same stage in March.

Richings Park enter Friday evening’s fixture as underdogs, however they have shown themselves to be a dangerous outfit this season and can point to a 2-0 home victory over Finchampstead in October to demonstrate things might not all go Finch’s way on Friday evening. The Buckinghamshire club, based only a couple of miles over the Berkshire border, have only been a Thames Valley Premier division club for a few years and Friday’s game will be one of their biggest in their recent history.

The game kicks off at 7pm and tickets are priced at £5 for Adults and £1 Concessions.
