Windsor midfielder Danny Horscroft is our first double nomination this year for the Berkshire Football Awards picking up a nod for Goal of the Season and Player of the Season.
Horscroft has been a popular figure for the Royalists for a number of seasons now – and this is despite taking his guitar into the changing room on at least one occasion.
The nomination for Danny’s Player of the Season award said: “Danny has been a very consistent player for us this season and has scored some crucial goals. He has proven to be an important player in the team by being awarded the captain’s armband halfway through the season. As well as being good on the pitch, he is a gentleman off the pitch and certainly deserves this nomination.”
Meanwhile the Goal of the Season nomination comes off the back of a superb consolation goal for Windsor during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Reading City. You absolutely have to see it for yourself:
