Hungerford Town have added Chippenham Town midfielder Michael Jones to their squad.

The National League South side are in a relegation battle but have re-signed Jones from their division rivals.

In a post on twitter, Chippenham Town manager said of Jones’ move back to his former club: “Ian Herring approached us and the move is a good one for Mike as playing opportunities have been limited as of late. He’s been great to work with and we wish him all the best.”

Jones originally made the move from the Crusaders to Chippenham in August 2017.

The Crusaders are currently third from bottom in the Vanarama National League South, four points from safety.

Managed by Ian Herring, the West Berkshire side enjoyed a terrific 5-0 win over St Albans City two and a half weeks ago but have since lost league games at Chippenham and at home to Welling United.
