Bracknell Town have moved quickly to fill the gap caused by the loss of Joe Grant – bringing back a familiar face to Bottom Meadow.

Dan Roberts came through the age groups at Bracknell and featured in the First Team in 2018 under Andy Findlay and Rob Creech before enjoying a sensation ‘breakout season’ at Windsor with Mick Woodham.

The 2018/19 season saw Roberts went on to score 39 goals in 45 appearances for the Royalists in the Hellenic League Premier Division – catching the eye of Vanarama National League South Slough Town where he enjoyed a fruitful spell.

Departing in 2021, Roberts joined Dartford and has since had spells with Carshalton Athletic, Hungerford Town and most recently Weymouth.

Now an experienced Step 2 campaigner, Roberts’s signing will certainly be a welcome one for Bracknell fans.

In the last week, Bracknell have announced a series of players who will remain Robins next season including Max Herbert, Ethan Burden, George Knight, Great Evans, Ralph Vigrass, Jordan Esprit, Adam Richards and crucially, goalkeeper Michael Eacott.

Star youngster Haydon Vaughan has joined National League Aldershot Town.
