New Vanarama National League South side Chesham United have swooped to sign two of their old Step 3 rivals key players.

Both Ashley Lodge and Joe Grant have been confirmed as new signings for The Generals who will embark on a first campaign at Step 2 since 2003.

Lodge and Grant announced their Bracknell Town departures on Friday evening with Chesham – chaired by Taskmaster’s Alex Horne – swiftly announcing their new signings.

Grant in particular was a long-serving ‘goal machine’ over two spells with the Robins having originally joined from Ascot United in 2016. He initially departed in 2019 for spells with Slough Town and Hayes & Yeading United but returned in 2020.
