Sandhurst Town have announced a new manager ahead of their debut in the Wessex League Division One next season.
Carl Barrie will replace Bob Ryan who stepped down last week after guiding the Fizzers to retain their Step 6 status last season.
Barrie is a former player under Pete Browning and was recently an assistant to Jordan Ive and Adam Barnard at the club.
A statement from the club said: “I’m delighted to return to Sandhurst Town FC, a club that already means a great deal to me from my previous time here as both a player during the Pete Browning era and assistant manager alongside both Jordan Ive and Adam Barnard. The opportunity to help lead the club into a new era is one I’m incredibly excited about.
“After speaking with President Tony Dean, it quickly became clear that we share the same ambitions and vision for the future of Sandhurst Town FC.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Badshot Lea FC, so the decision to leave was not an easy one. However, the opportunity to manage my local club and play a part in its next chapter was simply too good to refuse.
“We know what it takes to achieve promotion to Step 5, and that will be our clear objective for next season. Myself, the coaching staff, and everyone behind the scenes will work tirelessly to make that happen. Above all, we want to build a good environment and a club that the local community can truly be proud of.”
