Lewis Hall is a Newcastle United player after completing his much talked about move from Chelsea.
The young left-back was a member of Binfield’s much heralded Soccer School and has been steadily making progress through Chelsea’s Academy, impressing enough to earn a regular place in the Blues match day squad.
The Newcastle Chronicle reports that Hall’s move is: “An initial loan deal with a permanent transfer of £35million set to kick in at the end of the season.”
Hall – a Newcastle fan, was understandably delighted to make the move to the Magpies: “I’m very proud. Me and my family are Newcastle fans, and for me and my brother growing up, it was drilled into us that we were Newcastle. It’s a big club and I can’t wait to get started.
“I got a lot of experience last year in some big fixtures and I was really proud of the way I progressed as a player and a person. To now be here at Newcastle, the club that I’ve supported since I was a kid, I’m honoured and very proud to wear this shirt.”
Hall’s older brother Connor has himself made FA Cup headlines in recent years. The Slough-born youngster impressed in several first team appearance for Chelsea last season, including a League Cup tie away at Manchester City.
