Tash Harding joins FA WSL side Aston Villa

Former Reading FC Women captain Natasha Harding has joined up with FA Women’s Super League side Aston Villa Women.

The versatile defender played 83 times for Reading over five years, scoring four goals for Kelly Chambers side but it was announced she was departing the club at the start of May.

A veteran Wales international with over a 100 caps to her name, Harding has also played for Cardiff City, Bristol City and Manchester City where she played alongside the likes of Lucy Bronze, Steph Houghton, Toni Duggan and Jill Scott.

Villa have been an FA Women’s Super League side since 2020 after winning promotion at the end of the 2019/20 season. The Villains finished ninth last season, a place and four points behind Reading.

Harding will renew acquaintances with her former club when Reading head to the Midlands on the weekend of the 19th November in the FA WSL while the return fixture a the Select Car Leasing Stadium is in May. A full fixture list for Reading FC Women is here.
