Slough Town confirm George Wells return

Full-back to return to Arbour Park

It looks set to be a busy day of announcements for Vanarama National League South Slough Town who are expected to announce six signings for 2022/23.

Along with the confirmation that Aaron Kuhl was to return to Arbour Park for another season, the Rebels management team of Jon Underwood and Neil Baker have confirmed the re-signing of full-back George Wells following two seasons away.

Wells has been a regular for Maidenhead United in the National League the last two years and returns with some top-level non-league experience.

A statement on the Slough Town website said: “‘Wellsy’ earned his chance to step up with some fantastic performances for the Rebels in his 3-year stint with us, playing a huge part in our promotion and FA Cup runs, and left with our blessing but we’re delighted that the time is now right for him to return.”

Prior to joining Maidenhead, Wells played 143 times for Slough after joining from Kingstonian in 2017, going on to score 10 goals.
