Hungerford Town’s 2020/21 squad continues to evolve with the Vanarama National League South side flying high in the league this season.

Danny Robinson’s side are third behind Dorking Wanderers and Dartford and the Crusaders boss has bolstered his side with the signing of Bracknell Town midfielder Michael Atkinson.

22-year-old Atkinson had impressed at the Isthmian League Robins despite seeing the 2019/20 season end early and the current season on hiatus. He joined Bracknell in January 2020 from Walton Casuals but was reportedly keen to test himself at step 2.

Reporting on the move on the Hungerford website: “This 22 year old combative midfielder was widely regarded as their best player and he is keen to test himself at Step 2. Danny felt the midfield area needed a couple of new recruits to bolster the squad and improve selection options.”

Hungerford have also brought in Antonio Diaz on loan from Salisbury while Andre Burley remains on loan from Wycombe Wanderers until the end of the month.

The Crusaders are next in action on Saturday 23rd January when they play Welling United at Bulpit Lane.
