In Oxfordshire, AFC Aldermaston edged out Kidlington Development in an 11 goal thriller as Dave Tuttle got his reign in West Berkshire off to a good start.
The former Millwall manager took charge of his first game since being appointed at the weekend and will have been cheered as his side raced to a 3-1 and then 4-2 lead inside the opening half an hour.
As the half time whistle blew it was 5-3, you’ve got to feel for our man Rob Davies who definitely picked the right game (some of us made the poor choice of Bristol Rovers vs Bolton Wanderers).
As the second half got underway, Kidlington made it 5-4 with Aldermaston replying shortly after. 6-4
‘A Kidlington substitution sees them bring on another forward, exactly what this game needs!’
There was still time for a late goal as well, Kidlington making it 6-5 at the death but the Atom Men held on for the win.
We await confirmation via the FA Full Time website but the Atomics scorers were Monay Chandler-Mills (2), Davelino Markus (2) and Jamel Forde-Small (2).
