Bracknell Town manager Carl Davies said ‘it can’t always be pretty’ as the Robins beat Windsor 1-0 in a Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division tie at Stag Meadow on Friday night.
A crowd of 417 took advantage of the free entry offer for the Friday night game with collections held for the Windsor Homeless Project.
The fixture was goalless at half time with the deadlock broken on 61 minutes when Seb Bowerman converted from the penalty spot after Elliott Woodham had fouled Joe Grant.

There was further drama late on when Windsor midfielder Paul Coyne was dismissed for what Windsor Observer reporter Rob Stevens called ‘a blatant foul‘ on Bowerman while Bracknell’s Steve Nebbett was sent off from the dugout.
Fixtures: All the weekends fixtures including a busy Saturday afternoon
Manager Davies said: “Can’t always be pretty but 3 points is 3 points. Massive attendance yet again!! 3 days rest before a busy week ahead #COYR”

The three points moved Bracknell in to second place in the Premier Division and they now require one win from their final three fixtures to mathematically achieve promotion – that could happen as early as Tuesday when Davies side visit Woodley United.
