Slough Town fans will be eager to understand what’s next following the departure of Scott Davies to Aldershot Town on Monday, but at Football in Berkshire we thought we’d put together some of the best memories of his near eight-year spell with the Rebels.
292 appearances, 17 goals (although it surely feels like more?). Great moments as a player – that Grimsby Town free-kick, to incredible feats in the dugout.
Knowing Scott, there are probably a few personal moments you cherish from his time with the club. And even if you just want to wish him well at his new club, let us know in the comments below!

Too many moments to write about but the one that sticks out most is the 3-1 win against Oxford City on Boxing Day 2022, after this win, which to me was the beginning of it all, I looked at Scotty and thought “this boy’s got something” and some 3 and a bit years later, he’s proved to have more than “something”. It’s been a rollercoaster! The time Scotty gave me in between football will also never be forgotten, our little message conversations will stay with me forever. It feels like I’ve lost a friend, not the manager of my football team. Go well, Scotty. Once a Rebel, always a Rebel!
I have to go back to a 3-1 win against Oxford City on Boxing Day 2022, that was the day I knew Scotty had something, from that point he went from strength to strength. Also, taking the time to message me after games etc I’ll never forget that, that’s what makes this harder, it’s feels like I’ve lost a friend, not just the manager of my football club. What a rollercoaster it’s been! Once a Rebel, always a Rebel! SCOTTY DAVIES REBEL ARMY!!!
My most favourite moment of Scott’s reign has to be his free kick against Grimsby, all of the proper Slough fans were on the terrace behind he struck that ball so sweetly we thought that was gonna be our day. Another moment has to be his goal against bath and shushing jerry Gill the smug look on scotties face made all of us smile, this isn’t one favourite moment but this is multiple just the love and care he has shown our football club and not to mention every single game no matter what coming over to greet us fans and thank us there’s only one scott davies!!! My hero for life!💙💛🫡
