Reading City weren’t the only ones playing in a Cup Final in the Berkshire town on Friday evening.

West Berkshire side Burghfield beat Thames Valley Premier League rivals Finchampstead 2-0 in the Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup final at the Select Car Leasing Stadium with goals from Jordan Cox and Ollie Brown from the penalty spot.

This gave the Blues a double as in March they lifted the Berks & Bucks FA’s Charles Twelftree Trophy by
defeating Maidenhead Town 2-0 at Arbour Park in Slough.

Also on Friday, Singh Sabha Slough defeated East Berkshire League champions and League Cup winners Old Windsor 4-2 in the Ascot & District (Fielden) Cup final at Ascot United’s ground.
