Bracknell Town have seen a number of players depart this summer with captain Dan Bayliss and forward Gary Abisogun the latest to have departures confirmed.

Bayliss and Abisogun look to have been snapped up by a Vanarama National League South side following the expiration of their contracts at Bottom Meadow with a club already teasing their arrival.

Defender Bayliss became Bracknell Town captain last season having originally signed for the club under Sam Lock in June 2019 from Basingstoke Town.

Lock’s words at the time of Bayliss’ signing have proved to be spot on: “Dan has all the attributes to progress. He’s 6 foot 4, strong in the air, great feet and is eager to learn. I have been an admirer of Dan for some time and I’m really pleased he has chosen to play his football at Bracknell Town this season. He has a very bright future. I am personally really looking forward to working him!”

Former Woking youngster Abisogun signed in the summer of 2022 from Chertsey Town with then Robins boss Bobby Wilkinson saying: “I’ve been chasing this man all summer. He’s a talented winger, who I’m a big admirer of. He’s had a hell of a season and we’re so lucky to have him. Welcome to the family.”

Despite departures which include Darryl Sanders and Jack Dean to Farnham Town, there have been seven names the Robins have tied down including goalkeeper Michael Eacott and key goalscorer Joe Grant.
