After the surprising news of Darryl Sanders’ move to Combined Counties Farnham Town there was some better news for the Robins faithful with the announcement of players who have commited themselves to another season with Bracknell Town.

The first to sign on was goalkeeper Michael Eacott who has been impressive for the club this season. Eacott has largely managed to avoid the injury curse that has plagued Bracknell Town keepers in recent years being a mainstay between the sticks for the club. He also put in a star performance in their 3-0 loss to Ipswich Town in the FA Cup First Round.

Joe Grant is a familiar figure to most in local football. The importance of Grant to the Bracknell team can be explained by the fact he managed to be top scorer for the club despite spending much of the season injured. If Grant can stay injury free for the season there’s no reason Bracknell can’t go one better this term.

Midfielder Max Herbert has been a calming influence in midfield as well as from left-back during the season. His inswinging corners have been unstoppable at times and perhaps explain why centre-half Dan Bayliss is often near the top of the goalscoring charts.

Versatile former Binfield full-back Elliot Legg is another player staying on for another season as is skilfull winger Kameron English.

Former Harrow Borough, Slough Town and Marlow defender Adam Richards is another signing on for Bracknell for another season. Richards, like Grant, will hope his season won’t be affected by injury during 2023/24. Another player retained by Withers and McClurg is full-back Ethan Burden who will be back for a third season at the club
