It couldn’t happen, could it? Relegation-threatened FA WSL side Reading FC Women have teased the return of their Canadian superstar Deanne Rose ahead of a crucial final two fixtures.

The Royals are currently bottom of the table and in a relegation scrap with Brighton & Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City.

Rose, a bronze medal winner with Canada at the 2021 Olympics, has been a huge miss for Reading since suffering an injury against Manchester United in September.

The club however have teased via Social Media that their star could be back at the weekend for the crucial fixture at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Speaking to Reading Today’s Andy Preston this week, boss Chambers said: “There’s no hiding that we need to get three points against Tottenham or we’re pretty much done.”
