Bracknell’s Aimee Claypole was on target as Chelsea beat Manchester United in the WSL Academy League Cup Final.
A year on from lifting the Women’s FA Youth Cup with her side, Claypole struck as Chelsea ran out 3-2 winners with a 3-1 lead at half-time.
The game – played at Loughborough University also saw Edie Priest and Reanna Blades on the score sheet for Chelsea.
According to the FA Full Time website, Claypole has hit 29 goals in 22 appearances for the Blues this season with her side finishing second in the Southern Division behind Arsenal.
However, Chelsea beat the champions Arsenal in the Semi Final with Claypole on target in that game as well. Their opponents in the final, United, also finished second in the Northern Division.
Claypole recently made her FA Women’s Super League debut for the club against Brighton & Hove Albion and featured again in the Women’s FA Cup in the 3-1 win at her former club Reading FC Women.
