Bracknell Town head to FA Vase holders Chertsey Town on Saturday for one of their more local fixtures but with an injury list that at present shows no signs of shortening.

There was some concern midweek for Bracknell goalkeeper Mark Scott who picked up an injury but manager Sam Lock has confirmed it was a ‘muscle injury’.

Elsewhere, Lock announced several new signings with the addition of an attacker and goalkeeper after on loan stopper James Holden injured his ankle on his debut against FC Romania.

Speaking to Football in Berkshire, Lock saif: “We have signed Owen James from Oxford United on a short term loan he’s an exciting attacker who can operate anywhere in the front line.

“We have also signed highly rated goalkeeper James Hoskins on loan from Watford.

“Furthermore, we are delighted to announce Anthony Mendy also comes in to our plans tomorrow to add competition to our front line. He has signed from Wingate & Finchley.”

In terms of team news, Lock added: “Seb Bowerman faces a late fitness test. Scott picked up a muscle injury in training so he will be unavailable.

“I’m sure it will all be change come 3pm Saturday. We have had rotten luck with injuries of late culminating in an extremely young side competing in the FA Trophy on Saturday, there were lots of positive performances and we did not deserve to lose the game. It was important we brought some bodies in this week to bolster our squad.”

On Chertsey, who are above Bracknell in sixth on goal difference, Lock said: “Chertsey are a top side and we will need to be at our very best to take anything from the game.”
