Bracknell Town striker Liam Ferdinand and former Reading City forward Mitchell Parker will head to the Falkland Islands on Wednesday 7th November to play for a FA XI and now the shirt they will wear has been revealed.
A spokesperson for the Falkland Islands government said: “The FA XI will be wearing standard England kits but they will be known as a Football Association XI.”
Ferdinand may be joined by team mate Joe Grant on the trip which appears to include a match on Saturday and Sunday according to the itinerary, but there has been no update on the squad composition.
Here’s the shirt the FA players will be wearing:
Ferdinand will be the latest player associated with Bracknell to wear a national shirt after Sam Barratt represented England C while playing for Maidenhead United.
