WAB lifted the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Junior Cup on Friday night at Larges Lane thanks to a 1-0 win over Finchampstead Athletic Sunday Reserves.

WAB were the underdogs going in to the game by virtue of their status as a second division side and Finch’s second placed finish in Division 1 but they upset the odds courtesy of Marcus Frederick’s first half strike.

It was the forwards tenth Sunday League strike of the season and was enough to win the Junior Cup against the current holders Finchampstead who beat Whitegrove in last seasons’s final.
