Combined Counties League Burnham will begin the search for their third manager of the season after announcing the departure of Manny Williams.

Williams, the former Maidenhead United and Slough Town striker, was appointed at the end of October after Ashleigh James stepped down having initially joined the club in the summer from Slough.

A statement released on social media by Burnham said: β€œIt is with sadness that we announce the departure of Manny Williams from Burnham Football Club by mutual consent. We thank him for his efforts managing our first team over the past few months and wish him all the best with continuing his playing and coaching career.”

The change comes after Burnham suffered a heavy defeat to league leaders Hanworth Villa at the weekend but Williams nine games in charge included four wins, four defeats and a 2-2 draw with Edgware Town.

As the club statement revealed, Williams looks keen to continue his playing career which shows no signs of slowing down – the once capped Sierra Leone international has five goals to his name from 15 appearances for Burnham this season.
