Cherry Red Records Combined Counties Division One side Sandhurst Town have parted company with manager Ben Nwachukwu three games in to the league season.

The Fizzers are yet to win a point in three league games this season and were knocked out of the FA Cup at the start of the September in a 4-0 defeat by AFC Portchester.

Sandhurst were beaten 6-0 at home by Epsom & Ewell on Saturday and were beaten 4-0 on Tuesday night by Chessington & Hook United. Nwachukwu was originally appointed to lead the side in mid-August.

A statement released on the club website said: “We regretfully announce that we have parted company with our manager Ben Nwachukwu after a brief spell in charge.

“Despite being only four games into the new season it was evident that the young, inexperienced squad who have suffered heavy defeats in their opening matches need a more experienced manager to help them progress and achieve their full potential.

“It was a tough decision for us to make only four games into the new season but we believe that swift action should hopefully bring a much faster turnaround in the team’s results.

“We would like to thank Ben for all of his hard work and passion and wish him good luck and success in his future career.

“The club will be making an announcement shortly on Ben’s replacement.”
