Joe Lawler is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Manager of the Season (Men’s Game).
The Tadley Calleva boss lead his side to the runners-up spot in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South and a play-off spot this season.
The Romans enjoyed a number of high-points in 25/26 including a famous FA Cup win over Weymouth, broadcast live by the BBC.
One nomination for the award said: “The hard work started before a ball was kicked as Joe managed to secure a 100% player retention coming into this season.
“Joe not only has a group of talented players, but has instilled a culture of togetherness and resilience.
“He has broken many club records this season. Our furthest FA Cup run, beating Weymouth on the way, equalling our best FA Vase run and recording a second placed finish.
“Despite a play-off defeat, Joe along with his team have produced both tactical and man management worthy of levels much higher.”
Another added: “Joe has led Tadley Calleva to their highest ever position im 2nd in Combined Counties Southern Premier Division.
“The team far outperforming their modest wage budget including a 15 match unbeaten league run. A tough start to the season but impecable 2nd half of the season with points on par with the runaway champions Cobham.”
