We are expecting Bracknell Town’s fully refurbished Larges Lane ground to be open and football played on the new surface for the first time on Saturday 19th November.

The tarmac has been laid across the old surface and the new pitch has started to arrive at the ground off the London Road – the club are expecting to have the keys handed over on 17th November in time to prepare for the visit of Thatcham Town in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League.

A great deal of work

Since the announcement of the redevelopment at the end of the 2015/16 season, Bracknell have played their home fixtures at Sandhurst Town while a great deal of work took place at Larges Lane.

Expect ‘the Lane’ to be almost unrecognisable from the one that was left behind in May.

The ground itself

The club has been very good at posting updates on their twitter page and we’ve seen step by step as the old ground and surroundings were levelled, while showing how the rebuild is coming along.

We understand there will be some parts of the ground that will still require completion after the handover date, but football will be played!
