Last week we showed  you the unceremonious death of the Bracknell Bobble (RIP BB), and this week the redevelopment of Larges Lane moves on a-pace with the arrival of the 3G pitch in East Berkshire.

The club have published a short video on their twitter page of the pitch arriving to turn what currently resembles a newly tarmac’d car park into a top level artificial pitch.

It’s not as quietly satisfying as watching perfectly flat tarmac being laid – that video will be part of relaxation videos for years to come – but it does illustrate the progress being made with the redevelopment at the club, which is expected to be open later in November.

Football in Berkshire is looking for new talent. If you love your grassroots football, or have dreamed of being a football reporter, take a look at the opportunities available here.
