Midfielder Seb Bowerman has left Southern League Premier Division South Play-Off winners Farnham Town after featuring in all but one of the club’s final 17 games.

A statement on the Farnham website hailed Bowerman’s contribution to the club after the play-off Final win and victory in the Surrey Senior Cup Final with manager Paul Johnson saying: “I’m sad to see Seb go but I wish him all the best with his next move.

“It wasn’t easy for him leaving Bracknell, a Club he has a lot of history with, but I’m glad he was able to come in here and make the contribution he did.”

Farnham will play in the National League South next season for the first time in the clubs history after they beat Gloucester City 5-1 in the final.

Farnham chairman Harry Hugo wrote: “I really appreciate Seb for his willingness to take the leap of faith and leave Bracknell to join us for the run-in.

“He had a long history at Bracknell, regarded as their best-ever player, but he had the chance to end the season by making history with us and I’m glad that he was able to help us win a trophy and then earn promotion.”

He added: “When we signed Seb, we knew that there was a chance it would only be a short-term rental due to his work and personal situation away from football, but it was a risk we wanted to take because we knew he would be an asset to help us get promoted, which he was.”
