Michael Eacott makes Farnham Town move

Former Bracknell Town goalkeeper Michael Eacott has signed for the Robins Southern League Premier Division South rivals Farnham Town.

Eacott’s Bracknell departure was confirmed on 14th October with the glovesman writing: “After 4.5years and almost 200 games, my time at Bracknell Town is up. From celebrating league success to back-to-back FA Cup runs, but just falling short in the play-offs. It’s been a pleasure to represent the club.”

The former Sutton Common Rovers goalkeeper was signed for Bracknell by former boss Bobby Wilkinson. The Town have several former Robins listed in their squad including forward Great Evans, midfielder Darryl Sanders and defender Jack Dean.

He was was part of one of the meanest defences at Step 4, conceding just 12 goals as the Robins went on to win the Isthmian League South Central Division One in 21/22.

A statement released on social media by Farnham confirming the signing said: “We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Michael Eacott! Michael joins after leaving Bracknell Town earlier this month, helping them earn promotion to Step 3 and back-to-back play-off berths during a four year spell!”

Farnham are ninth in the Southern League Premier Division South table with two games in hand on the majority of sides above them. The club are in the FA Trophy First Round where they will host Bishops Cleeve on Saturday but are out of the FA Cup after losing a Fourth Qualifying Round Replay to National League Sutton United.
