FA Vase winner Marcus Mealing has moved on from Stag Meadow to join Combined Counties League Premier Division North side Risborough Rangers

The striker had a short stint at Step 6 with Windsor & Eton while recovering from a triple leg break that left him sidelined for eight months.

Mealing, who was part of Ascot United’s heroic FA Vase victory at Wembley back in May of 2023, suffered the horrific injury while playing for Southern League Central Division One play-off hopefuls Flackwell Heath.

Following his rehabilitation the talismanic centre forward joined The Royalists, making seven appearances with six being from the bench.

Mealing now joins Rangers as they continue their bid for survival in the division. Sitting just four points off the drop and sandwiched between Reading City and Berks County, the Buckinghamshire side will be hopeful that the forward can bring them some much-needed experience and goals.

Reading City will host Risborough Rangers on Tuesday 11th March at 19:45.
