Spreadsheets checked, results filled in and PPG calculated. The official Football in Berkshire Men’s Team of the Month for October 2024 is..
..for the third month in a row – Windsor & Eton FC.
In September, the Royalists beat Thames Valley Premier League side Maidenhead Town to claim the award by virtue of having played an extra game. In October the table was even closer with Binfield’s five game winning run – including a cup win at Dulwich Hamlet – putting the sides level on Points Per Game (PPG) and games played.
That means the number crunching came down to goal difference, and Matty Angell’s side edged it by three goals with Slough Heating Laurencians Reserves in third.
So congratulations to Windsor & Eton who had a maximum 3.00 PPG, scored 18 goals and conceded just four. The door is wide open for November after Eversley & California beat Windsor 3-2 in the Combined Counties Division One on Tuesday night.

Team of the Month rules
- A team’s performance is measured by points per game (PPG). The Team of the Month calculation includes league AND cup games.
- All matches from the first of the month to the last day of the month are included.
- Teams must have played a reasonable number of games in any given month relative to other teams to qualify for the monthly table. In August this was deemed as more than two.
- If teams are tied on PPG, the following criteria is applied: The team in the PPG tie that has played the most games, followed by Goal Difference (GD) if that is also tied.
- A monthly table will run concurrently alongside an overall season table.
October Goals
In front of goal, AFC Aldermaston’s Simeon Weekes and Windsor & Eton Pawel Kowallkowski share the honour scoring four league goals each. Weekes scored a hat-trick in a 5-4 win for the Atom Men over Whitchurch United while Kowallkowski scored twice against Eversley & California and FC Deportivo Galicia.
A host of players scored three across the month including Kevin Lokko (Maidenhead United), Sam Evans (Slough Town), Kickie Dzimba (Binfield), Connor Holland (Ascot), Charlie Oakley (Eversley & California), Jabir Laraba (Burnham), Ewan Lynch (Reading City) and Mark Bitmead (Virginia Water).
Please note: The men’s top scorer chart is based on goals in league matches only.
