Today marks the first ever Barclays Women’s Super League meeting between the Royals and the Foxes. The sides have met once before in an FA Cup tie in which Leicester were victorious.
Reading sit relatively comfortably in eighth spot, tied for points with Manchester City and West Ham after an historic club moment saw the Berkshire outfit register their first ever win about current title holder Chelsea in December. Meanwhile Leicester secured their first victory to move them off the bottom of the table when they played host to Birmingham City at home in the last fixture of 2021.
Reading will be looking to extend their five game unbeaten league run, whilst WSL debutants Leicester will be seeking points to keep them off the relegation spot.
