Combined Counties League Premier Division North Reading City have signed up Henry Paxford for the new season.
A key player for Eversley & California last season, Paxford helped the Boars maintain their Step 5 status in th Premier Division South having won promotion the season before through the play-offs.
Speaking to the clubs website, manager Simon Johnson said: “Welcome to Henry who signs from Eversley and California, where he scored 22 goals last season in the Combined Counties Prem South. Henry is a local lad from Tilehurst so suits exactly what we’re trying to build here. His ability in front of goal will help elevate what we built last season.
“He’s hungry to improve and learn and has a fantastic attitude. There was a few clubs after his signature, so I’m absolutely delighted he’s decided to sign for us.
I’m excited to see what Henry can achieve with us and look forward to working with him. Welcome Henry”
Paxford has, according to the club website also featured for Thatcham Town and Ascot United.
The Cityzens meanwhile, have been drawn at home to Knaphill in the Second Round of the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup – the Combined Counties League Cup.
