Women’s Super League January transfer window officially opens

The transfer window for the top two tiers of women's football has opened for January.

The transfer window for the Women’s Super League and the Championship officially opened on Friday 31st of December. The window will remain open for four weeks before closing on the 28th of January.

It’s very possible we may see yet another record breaking signing in the window with a number of transfer rumours flying around the world of women’s football already.

As for Berkshire, the departure of striker Jeon Ga-eul was announced in December by Reading Women, as the South Korean was confirmed to have left for Sejong Sportstoto in the WK League. No sooner had she exited, we saw the arrival of experienced midfielder Sanne Troelsgaard from  Damallsvenskan side FC Rosengård.

Reading will still be looking to strengthen the centre of play with English midfielder Isabella Sibley, Norwegian Tuva Hansen and Dane Emma Snerle all rumoured to be interests of Kelly Chambers.

Keep your eyes peeled for all the transfer updates throughout the month and don’t forget to follow Women’s Football in Berkshire on Twitter.
