FA WSL side Reading FC Women have announced the departure of forward Ga-eul Jeon.

The South Korean’s game time at the Select Car Leasing Stadium has been limited since joining from Bristol City in the summer of 2020 – partly due to a long term injury sustained in October 2020.

A statement from the Royals said: “We can today announce Ga-eul Jeon has left Reading FC Women.

“We’d like to thank Jeon for all she gave the side, and wish her all the best for the future.”

The striker has made over 100 appearances for South Korea and as well as Bristol City, has played for Suwon, Western New York Flash and Melbourne Victory but made only five appearances for the Royals despite signing a new contract in the summer.

Reading have bolstered the midfield ranks in December with the addition of Danish international Sanne Troelsgaard Nielsen.
