Former Binfield and Bracknell Town goalkeeper Chris Adams made a rare Hellenic League appearance at the weekend, stepping in between the sticks for Finchampstead in their Berks & Bucks County Cup tie at Woodley United.

Adams – a former captain at Larges Lane – could do little about the 4-1 scoreline as Finch crashed out of the competition at Scours Lane.

Highly regarded for his abilities in goal, Adams told us that while he missed playing locally he was enjoying his season ticket at Brentford far to much.

Our man Mark Pugh was on hand at the Woodley United match and captured a full gallery of images now available on our facebook page.

Charlie Oakley (2), Josh Drew and Greg Beckett all scored for Woodley while Adams former Bracknell team mate Harry Swabey scored from the penalty spot on 89 minutes for Finchampstead.
