In news that will hearten every Bracknell Town fan, former captain and crowd favourite Seb Bowerman has returned to Bottom Meadow.
The winger – who spent two years in the Vanarama National League with Dorking Wanderers after leaving the Robins in 2022 – was a key part of Bracknell’s rise up the division’s from the Hellenic League during six seasons with the club.
A statement released on social media by Bracknell said: “We are delighted to announce that popular wide player Seb Bowerman has returned to the Robins!
“Despite significant interest from clubs at step 2, Seb expressed a real desire to return to the Robins and we are delighted to have him!”
Bowerman’s manager at Dorking Marc White had earlier said he was ‘gutted’ to see the winger depart saying: “I’m absolutely gutted to see Seb leave the club, he is truly one of the good guys that has been fully committed to The Wanderers.
“When Seb came to the club, he made it very clear that football was his passion, he doesn’t play for money, he plays for love – and he’s always been extraordinarily committed to be in the best shape he can be for the team.”
Indeed, the Wanderers statement on Bowerman’s departure called him ‘a cornerstone of this recent Wanderers era.’
As well as being one of Bracknell’s all time leading goal scorers, during his time with Dorking he played and scored in front of 11,000 supporters at Chesterfield and graced the grounds of Wrexham and Notts County.
