Reigning Young Berkshire Footballer of the Year Christian Johnson has returned to his parent club Maidenhead United.

The forward, who spent last season with Holyport, signed a first contract with Maidenhead in the summer after impressing – before heading out on loan to Step 4 side Thatcham Town this season.

The Kingfishers are in a strong position in the Isthmian League South Central Division One, and lead by former Magpie Yashwa Romeo. Johnson played 19 times scoring six goals.

In the summer, Johnson won the Football in Berkshire Young Player of the Season Award in a ceremony hosted at Double-Barrelled Brewery, beating Holyport team mate Kickie Dzimba to the award. It has since been confirmed that Johnson will join Isthmian League Uxbridge for a month.

Maidenhead meanwhile have confirmed Harry Parsons will remain at National League South Weymouth for another month.

Bracknell Town have resigned Gary Abisogun on dual registration for a month, and loaned back fan favourite Anthony Cheshire for a month from Weymouth.

Meanwhile, adding some intrigue to proceedings, former CSKA Moscow and Zenit St Petersburg youth player  Jacob Gardiner-Smith has joined Southern League Hungerford Town. Gardiner-Smith has played in the Football League with Wycombe Wanderers and most recently Hanwell Town.
