Combined Counties League side Woodley United have seen forward Sid Gbla depart for division rivals Berks County.

Gbla scored 32 times in 53 games over a season and a half for the Kestrels and was part of the clubs history making run to the FA Vase Second Round this season.

A statement shared by County said: “Sid made his debut yesterday in our 4:0 victory over Oxhey Jets, joining us from Woodley United FC.

“We’d like to go on record, thanking them for their co-operation during the transfer period.”

Woodley meanwhile beat Bedfont 2-1 at the Rivermoor on Saturday with youngster Mackenzie Creech earning a senior debut off the bench for the Kestrels.

Manager Jordan Blake said: “Delighted to continue to show we have connection across all teams from Under 18s to Development Team and First team! Congratulations Macka mate you deserve it and can’t wait for you to make more appearances for the first team.”
