Vanarama National League Maidenhead United could be set for a huge windfall courtesy of former defender Max Kilman, currently in the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Serie A champions Napoli have – according to The Athletic – lodged a €35million (£30m) offer for the defender who joined Wolves from Maidenhead in 2018 for £40,000.
Any multi-million-pound move for the defender would hand the Magpies a financial boost through any sell-on clause in the original deal that took Kilman to the West Midlands – which could be as much as £7 million, or higher if Napoli meet Wolves valuation.
However, Premier League Wolves don’t appear to be in any need to sell the defender who is contracted until 2026, the current bid is well short of their £40,000,000 valuation.
