Wallingford & Crowmarsh add Step 5 experience to 2023/24 squad

Oxfordshire side add quality to their ranks

Combined Counties League Premier Division North Wallingford & Crowmarsh have added two impressive signings to their squad for the 2023/24 season.

The Oxfordshire side have strengthened their forward line with the addition of former Ascot United and Flackwell Heath striker Aiden Higgs and ex-Abingdon United captain James East.

Higgs goalscoring tally was limited last season to three in 24 games but was prolific the previous season for the Heathens in the Spartan South Midlands League, scoring 17 in 27 games.

East played 32 times for United last season before his season ended through injury in March.

Both players will undoubtedly bolster Wallingford’s chances next season of finishing higher than 10th – a position achieved in their first season back at Step 5 following promotion.
